About Chartiers Township
Chartiers – Houston
Chartiers Township is located in Washington County, Pennsylvania. The population was 7,818 at the 2010 census. Along with the borough of Houston, the township makes up the Chartiers-Houston School District.
Chartiers embodies small town life, yet is minutes to desired conveniences, shopping and entertainment. The school system is one of the only elementary schools in the area that boasts full day kindergarten, and that commitment to education is evident all the way up to grade 12.
People that grow up in Chartiers tend to stick around, and you will quickly notice the family ties, and families of multiple generations. What really sets this small town apart is the heart of its people, and how they stick by one another in good times and bad. Everyone supports our Buccaneer teams, and there is always a youth sporting event to catch.
In the fall, you can’t miss the Houston Pumpkin Festival, and local favorites like Shelley’s Pike Inn, Beechies, and Jimmy Z’s Pizza are sure to keep you coming back.
Chartiers Houston is a wonderful place to live and visit!
